Anni Koivisto
Anni Koivisto or by her Sámi name Koivu-Jusse Ánne is the vice-president of the Sámi Parliament in Finland and the chair of the working group of Barents indigenous peoples. In Sámi Parliament Koivisto works, e.g., on issues related to education, language, social and health care services and truth and reconciliation process.
Matti Taneli Vanhanen
Matti Vanhanen is a Finnish Member of Parliament. He has served as Prime Minister of Finland and Chairman of the Finnish Center party in 2003-2010, Member of Parliament in 1991-2010 and again from 2015 on, Speaker of the Parliament from June 2019 to June 2020, Minister of Finance from June 2020 to May 2021, Speaker of the Parliament from 1 February 2022.
Håkan Jonsson
Håkan Jonsson was born in 1960 and he is a party leader of the Hunting and Fishing Sámi. He has worked with Sámi politics since 1993 when the Sámi Parliament started in Sweden. In 2013-2017, Mr. Jonsson was Chairman of the Board of the Sámi Parliament, and in 2021 he was elected Chairman of the Board again.
Anna Vuopala
Anna Vuopala is a Senior Ministerial Adviser in the Art and Cultural Policy Department of the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland. Ms. Vuopala has a Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki and she has trained on the bench at the District court of Raasepori in 2000.
Silje Karine Muotka – Elle-Rávnná Eli Silje Karine
Silje Karine Muotka (1975) is the President of the Sámi Parliament in Norway for the term 2021-2025. Muotka is from the sea sámi area in Unjárga (Nesseby) and lives currently in the city of Alta.
She represents the Norwegian Sámi Association (NSR) and has been elected member of the Sámi Parliament in Norway since 2009.
